Are There Any Online Poker Sites for US Players?

In the US it’s not about the poker sites as much as the individual states. At this time playing online poker for money is only legal in Nevada, New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.

Technically, online poker is legal everywhere excluding Washington State, but it’s the money transfers that are not legal. Therefore, on a federal level you can’t really play online poker legally.

There are plenty of poker players who play anyway, and they defend their positions well. It’s a gray area.

As far as legal online poker sites go, it’s mostly WSOP/888 and PokerStars. Also a lot of players now play on PokerBros, which is a free poker app.

The players load their money, play what is called “Free Poker” or “Home Games” and withdraw their winnings at a later time through whoever is running the game. Nobody gets hurt – unless they play stakes over their head and lose everything.
