  1. Just hide your straddle behind the big stack. That way you save money

  2. I play in a game with a btn straddle. I never limp or back raise in normal situations however am considering limping all my VPIP's from the blinds when the BTN straddle is on and developing a limp fold, limp call and limp raise range. Thoughts on this or would you continue to just raise your VPIP's?

  4. With Mississippi straddle, you have to be tighter from the blinds and EP, but doesn't, say, the cutoff get to play more hands because instead of having to get through 3 players, he only has to get past one? The extra tightness from ep is balanced by the extra looseness of LP and doesn't necessarily make the game worse overall. Just different. Right?

  5. good advice is to play the opposite of everyone else. If everyone tightens during a straddle start to open up your range and 3-bet moderate hands. If everyone loosens reign it in.

  6. Great content as always, Alec. A quick question, what software do you use on Mac for calculating the equity or range analysis?

  8. Maybe Detroit is special. People literally NEVER play tight at 2/5 games with straddles on. I raise a pretty wide range and they somehow still call with dominated garbage anyways, most of the time.

  10. I once played a 1$ / 2$ game that had about 4 straddles every hand, and yeah that makes the whole game a little different:)

  11. Alex, The button typically straddles in my regular games. Do you think it's a better move in a weaker game, when doing it in position?

  12. Great video!! Agree limping in mississippi straddle bad idea and like point about ranges being tighter generally.
