  2. River play @ 37 could you have all-in him? Even the loosest players have trouble calling w/jacks (or any non set pocket pair) when there's an over card especially when you open hard as if it's AK

  4. I personally like your barreling with AcKs, but I wonder how much you were betting on each street, and what percentage of your stack was your river bluff. I like it because you probably fold out all non-flushes and pairs under jacks.

  7. Evan I don't mean to sound rude, but why in a game that involves a lot of luck, you need tons of preparation. It's just cards. Do you do all these preparations to give yourself the best shot to win? And how much of an edge percent wise would you have over a regular player who doesn't do any of these preparations? Thanks loving your videos.

  9. @Gripsed with the bluff against the pro, since you bet twice, how about a check raise on the river when your missed the draw but you can still rep the flush? I think that has a lot more fold equity that 3 barreling bluff. Not many people bluff raise on the river and having the A club you know he cant have the nut flush. Would appreciate your thought on this.

  10. I'm really enjoying every single one of your videos. Sometimes I just put those on the background while grinding, find it way better than just listen to music as it put me in a grinding state of mind. Great job.

  15. Cool point about when people are chatting, their hands are not usually as strong.

I picked up that tell on a guy at my Colossus table – he loved to talk to the old guy acting before him because he thought that guy was tight and predictable (which he was). Therefore, I chipped up without showdown by check-raising him on an A-high rainbow flop w/nothing when he kept talking once he knew he could open preflop, then kept talking to the old man on the flop even though I was the only other one in the pot with him. That's another tell of weakness by the way – when someone is seemingly playing their hand vs the "wrong" person.

  17. Cool point about awareness and how "there's a limited amount of stimulus that we can process before we start to fatigue."

In psychology – for short-term memory – there is something called the "magic number 7", which describes how humans can generally only remember 7 things at once in short-term memory…

This is why telephone numbers are only 7 digits long.

This also relates to what Phil Hellmuth said about how a person will run out of energy too quickly if their goal, when sitting at a tourney, is to constantly watch EVERYTHING that everyone is doing.

  18. Cool point about endurance. When I had to switch tables at the end of day 1 Colossus, I had to re-figure my table and that sudden, extra mental challenge is the point where I broke down and made a mistake that put me out because I must have been getting tired.

  23. Awesome review!  I'd love to hear more about what you put into live note taking as you log hands on your phone.  This is something I haven't done much with in the moment but usually try to remember hand details after the session is over.  Again congrats on the WSOP run this year bro!

You REALLY convince me that I should have another go at this game … You may have a donk-fish calling station on your team in a couple of months! ;O)
