Terrible Play at 2-five No Limit Holdem

Hi my name is Mark Ari and in this video I clarify a participant who performed Ace Jack out of placement so poorly at a dwell 2-five No Limit Holdem cash match I try to remember it to this working day.

  1. This is not the worst play ever. He is block AA and some players in these games do fold JJ QQ to a 4bet because some tight players think a 4bet at these stakes are highly likely to be AA KK and AK. Some players at 1/2, 2/5 may fold QQ. If UTG raise and I 3bet on BTN with JJ. And I see that guy 4bet ? I m not happy with my JJ anymore and I may fold and his AJo will take it down. So his play definitely has merit.

  2. Cold 4 betting AJo is a reasonable particularly offsuit and oop. Opponent tendencies matter. The guy is taking control of the hand and he has a blocker but he should muck facing the shove.

  7. I was playing at the Borgata (5/10nl) about a yr ago and this same scenario happened to me(and it still sticks in my mind, also)…i had the QQ and was playing short stacked with around 650 in chips….same results….and i was thinking the same thing: "what the @#$% was he thinking?"…you would think a 5/10 game would not have players that bad, but it happened.
